Nikki Haley has tossed her hat in. I am interested in her, not committed yet. What do you guys think of her?

Female, person of color. I'm sure Smits all-in.

Turncoat is going to have a hard go. Will she turn and run away if things get tough as POTUS or will she continue to fight for the little people like Trump does?

Why can't she fight for all people? don't matter how stumpy. :P

Huh? didn't say she couldn't, just that she probably wouldn't. Seems to me she's in it for herself only. But she does have a couple wonderful traits; she's not a demonrat or HILLARY CLINTON.

She has my vote unless Desantis runs.

The fact that she's not like Trump is a plus in her column.

The fact is, to what we're likely to find out, too many R's think anyone who didn't worship at the alter of "Trump" so they won't be able to garner enough support to do much of anything.

If nothing else, it is going to be curious how this cycle plays out...I have a feeling I Know but I'll hold that thought for now.

I can't believe that some media feels that it's necessary to call her a "woman of color".

I mean, come on.  I know here parents are from India, but what color are they talking about?  Olive?
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

All I want is someone who agrees with me on the issues, courageous enough to follow through and articulate enough to explain why it's necessary....that's all... not asking for much.

But how much agreement?

It's a serious question because none of us are likely to ever find a candidate who aligns exactly with our beliefs...

Then it becomes a question of how much variance and on which issues?

Voting is a pragmatic choice for most people...sure, there are the hardcore single issue voters but it's not the entire electorate.

I don't have a lot to back this up, but her past statements and actions make me feel like she is just a mouth piece for the Big gov establishment R's. I feel like she would be just like GW Bush. Talk the talk but leave office with massive gov growth and tons of MIC spending/wealth transfer.

Ultimately it really doesn't matter who the R candidate is. If state legislatures in MI, WI, AZ, PA, NV, GA don't get control of voter rolls to remove all of the ineligible names the Dems will just use those to mail-in-steal another election.

Haley started out not liking Trump, then she changed her tune and became a Trumper, now she's changing back again.

She doesn't have the courage of her convictions but she is a politician so that's to be expected to a certain extent.

She would probably be the most palatable Repug to independents but that won't matter because the radical Repugs will vote for Desantis in the primaries.

IMO, Haley has no real chance of winning the nomination. It will come down to Trump and DeSantis. She, like most long shot primary candidates, is just running to secure donations, build name recognition/personal brand value, and to try to cause enough grief for the leading candidate to secure a cabinet position promise.
