Yesterday while walking to my pickup I could smell heavy smoke in the air. I thought there was a house on fire but when I got home the local news stated that we were under an alert for the Canadian wild fires. Is Canada just allowing the fires to put themselves out?

I believe many fires are even intentionally set to push the global warming agenda.

Visibility here yesterday was well under a mile, but at least it smelled like a camp fire, which was nice.

Compared to the normal cow/pig/chicken shit smell we usually have.

Started to see and smell it in my area also.
Doesn't smell like a campfire though, smells like burning rubber and chemicals.
Visibility is about 1/4 mile if I had to guess.

Pretty hazy down my way too (Redford). Doesn't smell like a campfire here either.
