My wife and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. A few days on Oahu, a few days on Maui, few on Kauai. We are absolutely not beach people, and because of that, of the 3 Kauai was by far our favorite. So much to do there besides beaches and golfing. Hiking, sightseeing, fishing, sunset cruises, just driving around, etc. We should have spent the 10 days just on Kauai had we known.

We just got back from our, what seems to be a every two year, vacation.

Dubai, Portugal, Spain, France, Iceland, Dubai.

Just under six weeks away, which was fun. Next trip will probably be back to the USA

Oahu the city life all the shows and the shops.


Kona, Volcanoes waterfalls beautiful country and epic views (Southern most point Cliffs ) Breathtaking, Volleyball in the middle of a volcano . Sea Turtles and The clearest shelf to snorkel. Abundant Life.

This fall the wife and with our small dog are planning to do a two week drive out west (From western WI). Places of interest are Yellowstone, Montana, South Dakota and possibly Colorado. We don't have specific itinerary and I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions. It's our treat to ourselves for a late 30th wedding anniversary trip.
We want to enjoy a quiet scenic drive with some hiking (easy walking hikes =).

Drive over the BearTooth pass from RedLodge Mt. To north east entrance to Yellowstone and into the park. Weather permiting in the fall.

There is SO much to do on Kauai that is not beach related...

Got home yesterday from Disneyland and Universal. It was a fun 6 days. Rode lots of rides and ate way too much food.

Only bad part was getting a stomach bug towards the end.

We've decided that Universal (both Florida and California) feels like a knock-off Disney, so in the future we're gonna spend a couple extra days in Disney instead.

We just finished a 10 day 'staycation', hanging around the backyard pool during the day, and sitting by the firepit at night.


We got some rain, but all in all a nice relaxing time for me and the Mrs.

I got to play one round of golf with a couple of buddies, so that was pretty cool as well.

Back to work today though...

A bit....I am still building back my strength, I can add 10-15lbs a week to what I can lift, I was limited until 7/5 to 10lbs max...

As my back began to really give out, as late last year wore on, I slowed down and inevitably started putting on weight that I had worked hard to lose...so now it's slowly building up the cardio and endurance....but I am walking fine, I can sit, stand, am pain free for the first time in, I dunno, 20 years....

It's a road back but I am on it.

This trip I did the catamalan cruise, it's a boat with a bar and you go swim with dolphins in the middle of the ocean there's a dolphinareum, snorkling and this private beach island with a lobster dinner, we went with these 2 really cool girls we met here.

I went to havana club 4 times and casa de LA Musica once, clubbing is insane here, the resort I stay at has 2 beachs and 2 pools an infinity pool and one with a bar in the middle so u don't have to get out .

They have different shows and restaurants on site you wouldn't have a problem finding stuff to do lol, it's a matter of good planning, for sure, bring lots of american dollars too, ones to tip and som3 5,s and 20s no need for local money except to tip witth, varadero is the best imo

Also it's really cheap to go here, half the price of any other destination for sure,
