Has anyone else read the latest Trump indictment?

This again, doesn't raise a rosy picture moving forward for Trump.

If Jack Smith can actually prove what he alleges, and with the inside info from multiple co-conspirators, this doesn't look good.

Again, you "can indict a ham sandwich" but the alleged grand jury testimony, it presents a real danger.

Jeff

Never forget, the Dems will do (and have done) ANYTHING to retain power.
There's a reason they don't want an R in the White House.

From the little bit I've heard over the last couple of days, it sounds like he is screwed.

There is some rumor I read that they are hoping that this will all be postponed and play out right before the election. If he's guilty there will be no mechanism in place to replace him if he wins the primary?

"IF" that were "the plan" it would point to a much larger conspiracy....you just can't put together something that BIG and not have people talk. If 2 people know a secret, it's not a secret.

I think there's as much chance of that kind of conspiracy as believing Trump won 2020...

That said, what has really amazed me is how people, on either side, have seemingly lost the ability to retain any ability to look at something objectively. It's gone, it's out the window, like the baby and bath water.

that depends on what papers you're reading. Conservative papers are saying just the opposite. Ultimately it boils down to what papers the jury is reading, though. He's probably screwed.

How could anyone vote for a party that would pull a stunt like that. And what does it say for their candidate that they don't believe he can win an election without chicanery.

All this shows is how completely effed up our justice system is. Especially grand jury's. They can leave out all kinds of exculpatory evidence and paint any picture they want to a grand jury when it is about political prosecution and not the actual law.

That's right, it's the prosecutor presenting what they deem criminal acts.

The so called "exculpatory" evidence, which has been legally pooh poohed at every turn, will be presented at trial, I'm certain. I don't expect the "evidence" will stand up to real scrutiny, yet again.

We shall see.

I read articles from independent journalists that shit on both sides.  This particular journalist was more than happy to call the dems out for the Russian collusion nonsense. They're pretty fair on *most* topics. I don't listen to or read anything that comes from hard right or left media unless someone points me to an article and I'm interested in what it has to say.

So you can sit there with a straight face and say that the Republican party isn't that dirty?   Okay.  :harhar:

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they're worried about the potential for Biden to lose but as much as I dislike him, I have my doubts that he would.

The indictment is SO much more than that....

that's always the thing! when one party is caught red handed, they say, "what! you think your side is so innocent?"

Like Michael Corleone justifying murder:
QuoteMy father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.
Kay Adams : Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don't have men killed.

Yes, they're both dirty yet love pointing the finger at the other side.

corruption grows until it is stopped or until it kills it's host. But you can't kill corruption with more corruption.
