When our family moved into Michigan in 1972 the hottest summer temperature average was 83°. Fifty one years later the hottest summer temperature average was 83° a couple weeks ago.

The measured average temps from cities today should be considered somewhat suspect for a lot of reasons.

If "rising oceans" was a thing, insurance companies wouldn't write the policies for those properties... for ANY price. 

'Man-made climate change" is horse shit. Anyone that's ever seen Bryce, Zion, or any one of a dozen other national parks could ascertain that. Man didn't cause the ice to recede which created the Grand Canyon. The planet is in a CONSTANT state of change. Solar flares, comets, solar winds, and any one of a hundred different things affect our planet more than cow facts and cars.

Heating and cooling trends have been happening for eons. The hair on fire climate change radicals have been cherry-picking the data they want to push their agenda.

Question:
As machinists do we cherry pick the data to see how our parts are running or do we use the entire data to understand how our process is working?
If we cherry-pick the numbers we are using partial data and making incorrect conclusions.
No difference with climate or any or science.
