My girlfriend got the flu last winter and we had two people out from work with the flu at about that same time.

Are flu rates down?

Every year the news would fearmonger the public about flu season, talk about how seniors and homeless are the highest death risk of getting the flu, etc... and to get the flu shot, it was all over the place, unavoidable.
Once the chinavirus shit started, they haven't uttered one word of it from what I've seen.

I haven't paid that much attention. I've never had the flu vax so when they do talk about it, it just goes in one ear and out the other.

Yesterday we had two people out because of Covid. It seemed like just another day though.

I see pharmacies advertising flu shots.

Yes, 5 days and/or doctor's release.

Two people are out this week at my shop.
Both were downstairs office staff and I'm told I was not exposed.
Just another day so far.

One of my wife's co-workers tested positive yesterday.
Luckily her work area is kind of isolated, so she wasn't in close proximity to him.

What do you mean by "switcheroo"?

The fact that when entire country gets locked down, including schools, people stopped getting the flu?

It's not? I don't remember hospitals being overrun with flu patients.

Covid19 was weaponized (with our tax money) in China so it was different from the common flu. This year's Covid might be back to its normal strength.

..

I've had the flu a countless number of times. I've had covid twice. I've NEVER been as sick from a flu as I was when I got covid the first time. I'd never lost my sense of taste and smell. I've never been exhausted from the flu for two months straight.  I've never had dozens of friends older family members die from the flu all in a two year period.

I guess I can't tell where you're going with that. Are you denying that covid existed? Or that it was "that bad"?

I could probably count on 1 hand the number of times I've had the FLU.  I've been pretty sick from common colds, bronchitis, and sinus infections, but the actual FLU I haven't had much.  I had Covid twice.  The times I had the actual flu, I felt run over by a steam roller and it took a good week before feeling like doing anything.  Total exhaustion.  My covid experience was worse than a common cold the first time but not as bad as the FLU.  The second time the covid strain was more like a cold than anything.
