Islam is a religion of works. When someone dies, the Qu'ran teaches a soul will go before Allah in judgement. There will be two angels by each side stating their case for and against (a defendant and a prosecutor, so to speak). Even though one professes belief in Allah (a true believer) - they cannot be certain of their salvation. Allah decides based on their life's activities.

This is in stark contrast to Christianity, whose teaching stresses true faith saves that person. Their salvation is guaranteed. No matter the rotten deeds one may have committed prior to their conversion to faith in Christ - they are going to heaven. Not by anything they have done to earn it, but by what Christ has done. it is a free gift of God.

So, I'm trying to understand 'their worldview'. How a true believer (though a false God, in their mind they believe to be God) could commit suicide and killing innocent victims.

For us, it makes no sense. However, they aren't us...

Humans are the cause of strife in the world. If there is a God, and I believe with all of my being that there is, he is not the one causing it.

Pride, Gluttony, Lust, sloth, wrath, envy, and Greed cause strife in the world. the very things that the Christian Church preaches against.

Funfact: a majority of women apposed the 19th amendment, at the time.

pretty basic tenent of Christianity; Adam and eves free will and the forbidden fruit.

Please try to understand, you are free to believe as you will. I would do NOTHING to change or prevent that...

I am a recovering Catholic and have sworn off religion for the "farce" that I believe it to be.
I may poke some fun and I certainly expect I will receive some as well.
That's ok.

Maybe on my deathbed that will change but I hope no one holds their breath waiting on me.
