I think the covid shutdowns have proven conclusively that it's not "for the children" and never has been.
It's all about the prestige, power and paychecks of the teachers unions.

"School Choice" falls under the "common sense" heading which the left is VEHEMENTLY opposed to so in those cases, lunacy wins out.

The left knows a well educated populace does not work in their favor. But do not confuse spending years in a government run institution for "education". That is indoctrination.

We homeschooled 3 of our 4 children. 2 of the 4 from K-12. They know the Constitution. They know the Federalist Papers. They know how to use a dictionary. And they know many words today had completely different meaning 100+ years ago. The left would see them as their enemy. They are well educated.

The federal mandate for forced busing ended in 2001.  However, it was still happening after that. My youngest daughter got selected to be bussed. The fact that her grandfather was on the Cherokee rolls kept that from happening.

Terrorism is terrorism....

Be it blowing people up and threatening violence or threatening people with eternal damnation in hell because they don't believe the same...both are done for what each terms a "desirable" outcome...

So I ask, what's the diff?

the difference between warning someone about an upcoming catastrophe and blowing someone up? uh I would say there is a difference

I would liken the difference to telling someone driving down the road, I don't know for sure, but I've heard the bridge is out up there and if you go that way you could end up in the canyon below. to someone who sees someone driving down the road and just blows them up rather warning them that the bridge is out ahead. In the first scenario. the people can go ahead and drive themselves to the bridge and see for themselves. in the second scenario they are dead.

Christians worse than Al Queda???
Back in the days of the Spanish Inquisition...maybe.
Today, not an f'ing chance.
The really heartbreaking thing about  Oct 7 is that 75% of the Palestinian people
approve of what happened that day.

I think the vast majority of them are just ignorant AF about what they are supporting.
One on the things I've read over and over about the Vietnam War protests is that a lot of the guys
were just there to pick up chicks. It was the cool thing to do in those days.

Something very ironic about the music festival and the women who were murdered, raped, butchered and mutilated... a great many of them were liberal Europeans and Americans who supported the Palestinian cause.
I suspect the survivors have rethought that position.

Well at the time of the Vietnam War I was probably Much Much younger than you. ;D

But the jest of it was "We should not be there"

In this sense now the kids are saying we should pick a side.

I feel for the idiots that were at the festival.

But it was not Woodstock and if you are stoopid enough to endorse the people who want you dead. ????

Hamas planned and wanted the festival for shock value.

The participants besides being Raped and Paraded were Inconsequential.

The diff is the true God came to Earth and became one of us. Islam is a fraud, an assault on the truth which is Jesus Christ. It is demonic.

I don't believe you'll find God in church.

To me, all religious organizations are all peas in the same pod.

They're taught to listen to people like Norm Finkelstein so they don't think that they're being ignorant.
