How many people have mandatory sexual harassment/discrimination training?

No. My company/state has no such requirement.
Yes. Annually.
Yes. Bianually.
Yes. Some other interval.
I don't know.

Because I work for a company who's base is in The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan, they burden the shit out employers in ways you can't even begin to imagine.

I'm all for discouraging bad and/or inappropriate behavior in the workplace. Work is hard enough, making it hard on someone else isn't cool.

Anyone else have to do stuff like this?

Quote#MeToo is a social movement against sexual harassment. Given the profound cultural revolution that the #MeToo movement brought on in society and business, one would expect significant declines in workplace harassment.
However, US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) data shows a marginal decrease of 18% in harassment complaints to the agency since the start of the #MeToo movement in 2017 through 2021.

Since when is 18% "marginal" for anything?

We have safety training here but so far no sexual harassment training. I have worked places before where all employees had it and places where only managers had it for the reason in your last slide.

I will say that it has no place anywhere. I am finally in a place in my life financially and skills demand that I will not hesitate to say something. I will absolutely call someone out for it. I only lasted 6 month at the job that brought me to MN. I left that job as soon as possible. There was a machinist that had been there for 20 years. He was a foul mouthed POS. He was a tall, big guy and he was a bully. He also talked all kinds of nasty about the two female owners. I would just walk away. I regret that I was too afraid to stand up for what was right.

All living creatures deserve to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect. Period.

I've gone through these kinds of sessions so many times, since the mid-90's,  I'm now qualified to harass anyone at anytime.

When I started my career in the early 90's, I don't recall any training. The company I am at now is the 1st company where I've had to do this. It used to be only required in the PRK for companies of a certain size (like over 50 employees). I believe that has dropped to like 5.

I feel bad for young single people these days though. ONE instance of an individual asking a co-worker out on a date if it's unwanted, can be a termination with cause event. There are no warnings anymore because the consequences for organizations can be economically punitive. It seems like reasonableness for anything is waning.

I'm in your boat @YoDoug , I don't have to put up with anything I don't want to anymore. I remember hazing was a real thing in the machine shop. I'm not talking about the "hey kid, go get the aluminum magnet" stuff, I'm talking about high spot blue on your stuff, and things not easily recovered from. Not cool.

I've become the Mike Pence of machine shops. I wont let a woman in my office unless my wife (g/f) is present.

Tek-Ord Minnisoda.

Was actually a fun class.

Guy walks in as we are all seated and starts pointing out.

obvious points "You're Bald and you're short"

After taking turns on everyone he proudly proclaimed "That is Not Sexual Harrasment"

Then he dove into the real stuff.

Funny guy made his points.

And yes asking about a date at work or on Company phones or Company time is a No No. ;)

Running into someone at the Market. ;D

Make employees into employers, and mark YES!  or spill some water on the bottom of the paper.  ;D

Here's where I have a problem. I got it wrong according to them.

In the case below as presented; this is hearsay in a court of law and would be inadmissible. Within a company environment, no such protections exist and it could likely end a career.

I wouldn't have clicked Rufus.  I'd fail that test.

This is just my opinion; if you didn't witness it you don't know that it happened.

I clicked Rufus because the implication was he witnessed the the harassment even thought it didn't specifically say. I've missed a few for reasons like this. I'm at the point where I'm "concerned" and I feel compelled to click what they want to hear. :(

That you feel "manipulated" in to saying what they want to hear doesn't help anything.

After reading this I talked to the g/f about it. She works for the Seattle school district and has to take these all the time.  She literally said "just click on what you think they want to hear".
