Wait until there is a "plants have minds too" movement.  :D

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

If their pets are horses, cows, or rabbits, fine.

If you feed a dog or cat a vegan diet, you're an idiot.

Jesus absolutely ate fish on several occasions in the Scriptures, so their 'argument' is null and void.

Just sparked a memory, I was at a friends house, we were probably 13-14 years old or so. His younger sibling was talking to his mom about his vegetarianism.

I asked him "so why are you vegetarian?"
"Cause I don't want to kill anything living"
My response "you know plants are alive too right?"

His eyes went wide and his mom was quick to change the subject.

There is no specific text that actually says Jesus ate fish, or any meat for that matter, only that he multiplied them for the crowd or went to Jerusalem for Passover, etc.

I can laugh at that. I eat kale at least 3-4 days a week, but never just a salad. It's always in a smoothie or mixed into food I am cooking. Kale as a salad requires a really great dressing to overcome the bitterness of the kale.

I had no idea but I made a mental note for reference.

So, John 21 doesn't demonstrate the Lord ate fish?

That's a huge hoop to try to hurdle through.

Jesus was not a vegetarian. Please, stop the madness.

It's not madness, where does it actually say that he ate fish or meat. It doesn't.

I love the selective interpretation here. When I bring up that Gen 1:29 God's intention was for us to be vegans I am told I can't infer that from context, but the bible never says Jesus actually ate meat but it is "believed" he did. Either we take what is literally in the bible or we just make up a bunch to fit our desires.

Yes it does. It implies it so powerfully, you can be assured our resurrected Lord ate fish (and beforehand, as well).

(John 21) 9When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish that you have just caught." 11So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them.

15When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?"

^^^ Jesus ate fish.

Del.

Of course it never really says he ate anything but we can't assume he never ate.

153 fish. Why that precise number? There's no other number like it...

Only 153 can 'do this':

153 = 1^3 + 5^3 + 3^3 = 1+125+27 = 153

(Just an observation)
