I found that on the Mastercam Forum.
Someone was asking if they were going to include it into Mastercam.  :o
With the right parts I'm sure FBM could run rings around that app.
I guess Mastercam need to rename FBM to AIBM (AI based machining)
Then everyone will love it and it will be The Next Big Thing!!!

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on April 20, 2024, 07:28 AMWell apparently, we don't know much....
My mate (2x man company) is Tier 1 into BAE on the new Tempest fighter, and they have mandated and audit against,  that:-
All software is running absolute latest version with the very latest update release.
This isn't just for installed software, but also for Windowze OS too....
Their project management software and project plan, is "running in the cloud", because it "is the safest thing as everyone has access at all times and it's the only one (current) version".

We're getting auld....

Edit:- but just because they mandate it, doesn't make it right....

Not what I am seeing by US DOD at all

What's coming for us is that every PC user has a login USB stick
You plug it in and enter your password ... no stick, no PC.
You leave the PC for a minute you must log out and take the stick with you
Sounds like a real PIA.. it's not here yet, but it's coming
These USB sticks are not cheap either.

Thanks for the shout out, yeah we have some products like the new assembly master that allow you to automatically program parts using custom operation libraries, a lot of times fbm will give incomplete toolpaths due to limitations of area mill and wireframe chaining, we have options to use solid chaining with automatic regions for area mill/rest mill and pocket toolpaths. We also handle disassembly programming and nesting of entire assemblies in one click with multiple toolpaths per feature using remachining and rest mill.

Our next release will support automatic waterline and optirough for sections of the with complex features,
we also have a new status bar that shows visually the 3d model and toolpath being rendered in real time as the operations are processing.

Our add-ons definitely give completely correctly and efficiently programmed parts better than fbm in all our test cases because we utilize the latest features like automatic regions.

And we offer perpetual licenses for single users and site licenses along with subscription licenses, we don't use the cloud either or ai, your data stays on your pc

This is our video from the last update programming an entire assembly in 2 and a half minutes including disassemble, the video is not sped up, we expect to beat our benchmark on the next release again
