How bout you google up the stats on dogs with behavioral problems that get trained up by a 'rescue' and are successfully adopted.

Hell, PETA kills 10x more dogs in a day than she's killed in her life.

J/K. We do a lot of veggies in the air fryer. Green beans, broccoli, asparagus, Brussel sprouts, kale, etc.

Chickpeas with a little salt, pepper, and paprika are really good also.

I have killed dogs. I prefer not to because I like dogs. Because I like them, my bar is pretty high for when they get killed. Aggression towards MY people, sickness/injury, habitual destructive behavior are reason enough for me.

I guess if you agree with PETA's founder that, "A rat, is dog, is a boy", you could find this objectionable. If so, sorry. I just don't care.

About a year after I bought my farm, my son who was 5 was playing near a dilapidated old shed when he came across some puppies. thinking they were cute and being only 5 he tried to pet them but they growled at him, then the mother came out and chased him back to our house.

After work, I went down there to look and see what the situation was. the mother growled and tried to chase me as well, but I stood my ground. And she backed off a little and continued growling. If I had made any motion like my son had, I'm sure she would have chased me as well. She had one of my neighbors new born calves in there half eaten. We were very fortunate that my son survived that. I called a local shelter and asked for some advice, and they told me to "dispose from a distance"

I had forgotten about all of this until I started reading this thread. It was about 25 years ago.

Sometimes stuff just needs killin' and that's just all there is to it. Dogs that have got the taste of blood, wild animals that habitually come back to populated areas after repeated movement to other areas, pedophiles, murderers, rapists, etc... Some things just cannot be rehabilitated and they NEED killin'. It's unfortunate, but it's reality.

Cicada recipes

Tempura Cicadas:

Ingredients

15 teneral cicada
1 egg
1.5 cup flour or your favorite gluten-free flour substitute (We use Cassava)
2 tsp salt
Cold Seltzer
Oil for frying (I like using coconut oil because it pairs really well with cicada and cassava flavors)

Instructions

Preheat oil for frying in a dutch oven or deep pan.
Combine the flour, salt and egg.
Slowly pour in the seltzer and mix (but not too much) until it's the consistency of lumpy pancake batter. Keep it in the fridge on ice or on the top shelf until you use it.
Once the oil is hot enough (I always put a drop of batter in to test it), dip the cicada into the batter and fry until golden brown.
