Quote from: pmartin on May 15, 2024, 05:02 AMI loved that show.

It's funny but Anson Mount, who plays Cullen Bohannon in Hell on wheels played A super hero named Black Bolt in a show a couple of years later called The Inhumans. The funny thing is that Black Bolts super power is that he posses a destructive voice. The merest utterance from him can destroy houses. As a result he never says anything.

An actor with no lines. He is currently In a reboot of Star Trek playing Captain Christofer Pike, which is a pretty good role for him.

As I recall, his only line in "The Inhumans" was "I'm sorry" as he disintegrated somebody. :)

Anson Mount was really good as Cullen Bohannen. The Inhumans was just ok though, IMO.

Yeah I liked Anson Mount as Captain Pike in the new Star Trek series 'Strange New Worlds', which is actually a prequel to the original series.

Two seasons so far, and a third season I think just finishing filming now, but no release date yet.

I haven't really liked some of the other Trek spinoffs, but this one is pretty good because it goes all the way back to when Kirk and Spock first meet.

We just finished Episode 4 of Mr. Robot and the wife and I agreed it was a little too far out there for us so we switched to Star Trek: Strange new worlds last night.

The first episode was pretty good. We both liked it a lot better than Mr. Robot.

I had to laugh at your response. "Too far out there".

It is a bit out there. But when the dealer comes back.

You wonder what he is gonna do. (No Spoiler)

I'm just amazed that Rami walked out of College got the lead in Freddie Mercury , The James Bond as The Villain.

Pretty impressive. ;)

I'm pretty sure I saw him with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in Larry Crowne. He played a college student.

Quote from: Smit on May 13, 2024, 03:07 PMThe wife and I finished "Hell on wheels" a while back. It's about building the first railroads through the west. It was a good show, pretty intense.

We started watching "Shogun." It's a good show. Recommended.

I'm watching "Jericho" on the side. It started out pretty good but lately it's been pretty meh. I'll finish out the series, 7 more shows, but can't really recommend it.
I watched hell on wheels for a quite a while. Latter episodes just turned into a body count and I lost interest.

I just started watching the new Netflix miniseries 'A Man In Full'.

Jeff Daniels has always been an underrated dramatic actor IMO, and this part of a ruthless old real estate tycoon is perfect for him.

There are only six episodes in the miniseries, and after seeing the first two I definitely want to see the rest.

Update:  Just finished the series, and without spoiling anything, the ending is...well...unexpected.

Daniels was excellent in " Godless " playing an evil character. One of my favorite western.

'The Offer' on Paramount+ is really good too.

It's a dramatic miniseries about the making of 'The Godfather' film back in 1972, and all of the pushback against Mario Puzo and Paramount Studios from the mob and celebrities like Frank Sinatra, who were trying to prevent the movie from being made.

I saw the first episode this past weekend and will definitely watch the rest. 8)
