Currently watching "Warrior."

It's very good. I was watching an episode every other day but I find myself binging them lately.

The fight scenes are excellent!

I've watched a few episodes of Bookie on Max. It's about a guy who's a bookie but is actually a good guy. It's very entertaining.

The wife and I just watched Monsieur Spade on Prime. It's a stylish mystery featuring Sam Spade twenty years after The Maltese Falcon. Now living in France. I won't tell you the plot but I do recommend it.

My wife is watching this as well.
It's pretty good.

I watched the first episode of Monsieur Spade.

It was a little slow developing and confusing at first, but by the end of the first episode I was hooked.

I heard on the radio that Robert Towne died.
He was a Hollywood writer who went to a local college in Pomona.
One of his credits is Chinatown (1974) with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway.
I've seen it before but decided to watch it again.
I'd forgotten how good it is. There aren't many people who could act
like Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway in their prime.
It's well worth 2 hours of your time.

That was mentioned in the miniseries 'The Offer' I posted about earlier.

Back in the early 70's, Paramount Pictures was tanking in a big way and was on the verge of being sold off by Gulf Western, their parent company.

Three blockbuster films in a row saved them: Love Story, The Godfather, and Chinatown.

Just bought a 65" UHD 4K smart TV for a little over $350 (after taxes).

So,... I'm searching through this thread for rec shows.

Good job, everyone! Very helpful.

The wife and I are watching "The Bear" right now. It was slow at first but sometimes it gets pretty intense. Stick with it and it's a decent show.

I'm watching "Black Sails" right now. It's pretty good. It could use more Max being naked in it, I'd suggest at least one full frontal nudity per show.

I just started watching the Battlestar Galactica 2004 series.

I wasn't expecting it to be so much darker than the original series.

Start with Breaking bad. Then maybe Better Call Saul. That'll keep you busy for a while.
