I would have to agree.
I just spent last week in Michigan visiting family and didn't hear one positive comment about their Governor.
Admittedly, it's a small sample size, but my wife's family there are mostly left-leaning and they don't seem too thrilled with her.

One comment I heard was something to the effect of, "Good...let her run for VP. At least we will be rid of her..."
