Never really followed anything he did. But being that he has predicted some pretty wild stuff (most notably 9/11) he has earned a lot of his following. All that burden from those predictions and seeing what is going on behind the scenes weighed a heavy toll and he took to drugs and alcohol, which then led him down the crazy path. I believe he is a couple years sober now.

Been off drugs since March 25th, 1987 +/- 1 day. 

Believe it or not, it still has some pull on me.  I mean the "good" thing is I know if I go down that path again 1)I won't make it out alive this time... I probably would last less than a year and 2)I'll loose EVERYTHING. My wife, my family, and my job inside of 6 months. I'm literally 1 hit off a joint from total self destruction.
