I suppose you'd advocated that everyone who breaks their toe should make and install their own bone screws and plates rather than relying on so called experts?  Self surgery always works out great, doesn't it?

wrap it in some tape and a splint and let it heal!? we never went to the doc for broken toes or fingers?

I broke my big toe into 3 pieces. Pretty sure it needed surgery but the walk in clinic just taped it up.

Usually they drill a hole in it to relieve the pressure.

Oh wait that's sposed to be for a Brain Injury. :harhar:

no I'm not scared of needles
my father was in the oil business and I lived in many out of the way places as a boy.
In those days, you had a shot book listing all the vaccines you had received.
When going to a place like Sumatra they checked your shot book getting on the plane
and getting off the plane. If your shot book was out of order you didn't get on the plane.
If the health inspectors on the other end had a problem with your shot book, you didn't get off.
It took about 30 shots altogether and some of them required a booster shot 2 or 3 times a year.
so no... I'm not scared of needles.

Getting the vaccine today was very low key. The outfit giving the shots ran like a well oiled machine.
I figured it would take all afternoon, but we were in and out in 40 minutes and 30 of it was a mandatory
wait to make sure you didn't have a reaction after getting the shot.
I was amazed at how stupid/selfish people are.

When I signed up, it clearly stated it for for Riverside County resident's 65 and up ONLY
The gate guard screened us, the parking attendant screened us, the door monitor screened us.
Yet when we got to the check-in table 20% of the people there were under 65 or didn't live in Riverside
County and were trying to bullshit/bluster their way in.  There were 2 very large security guards to deal
with those folks.
