My niece lives near Disney. A hurricane traveling west to east went right over their house without causing damage. It lost a lot of wind speed going over land and picked up speed again when it hit the Atlantic ocean. It wasn't a cat 5 storm though.

My dad left for his winter home near Ft Myers today, right on one of the canals. He's driving down. Haven't had a chance to talk to him about Milton yet, but I'm sure he's stubborn enough to drive right into it. Hopefully his girlfriend has a bit more pull to get him to reconsider than I do.

Oh man...I hope she is ok this time around too, because it looks like Milton is heading that way.

My wife's brother lives in the Tampa Bay area, so they are likely right in the path.
Not sure if they will evacuate or hunker down.

It's only him, his wife, and 2 dogs, so they can easily hop in the car and head for his sister's place in Georgia, but he's stubborn too, so I'm not sure what he is going to do.

Him and Trump along with Jason Aldean and his wife have raised over $7.5 million for relief. Elon is trying to set up communications, but FEMA is confiscating them, and the FAA says they can't land if they don't know who they are meeting with on the ground....what in the actual fuck is going on with this stupid fucking administration and it's corruption?
Meanwhile, more money being sent overseas without batting an eye.

I started seeing posts from Greg Biffle (retired NASCAR driver) who's been flying his personal helicopter to drop off supplies and evacuate people. He got a bunch of companies to donate supplies, the latest being Husqvarna donated truckload of clothing, gas cans, and 4 pallets of chainsaws that he's delivering to victims today.

Remember that civilian pilot who was threatened to be arrested by the piece of shit assistant fire chief if he continued to help people?
Well it turns out, after that went viral they were inviting all civ pilots to come and help the very next day.
Their excuse was that he didn't have proper training.
He must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express that night because he was back out the next day rescuing people.

The stonewalling by the governments both local and federal in this disaster is off the charts.
