Good luck gcode!!  :_thumbup:
Hope you aren't scared of needles..

no I'm not scared of needles
my father was in the oil business and I lived in many out of the way places as a boy.
In those days, you had a shot book listing all the vaccines you had received.
When going to a place like Sumatra they checked your shot book getting on the plane
and getting off the plane. If your shot book was out of order you didn't get on the plane.
If the health inspectors on the other end had a problem with your shot book, you didn't get off.
It took about 30 shots altogether and some of them required a booster shot 2 or 3 times a year.
so no... I'm not scared of needles.

Getting the vaccine today was very low key. The outfit giving the shots ran like a well oiled machine.
I figured it would take all afternoon, but we were in and out in 40 minutes and 30 of it was a mandatory
wait to make sure you didn't have a reaction after getting the shot.
I was amazed at how stupid/selfish people are.

When I signed up, it clearly stated it for for Riverside County resident's 65 and up ONLY
The gate guard screened us, the parking attendant screened us, the door monitor screened us.
Yet when we got to the check-in table 20% of the people there were under 65 or didn't live in Riverside
County and were trying to bullshit/bluster their way in.  There were 2 very large security guards to deal
with those folks.

WOW!!!

Keep us up to date on How Feel and The Missus.

We appreciate your Guinea Piggness. I really would love to hear how you Feel.

I don't know why people would try to scam there way in...
Covid's more of a threat to older people than them anyway..
Yes very selfish.

So with this Rna vaccine gcode may have superpowers!!
Beyond his usual moderator powers I mean!!

I feel fine.
There are a couple of bumps coming up on my skull that look like they might grow into a great pair of horns
And
I just got an email from Bill Gates thanking me for joining his Legions of the Zombie  Apocalypse.

On the serious side a work acquaintance went to the emergency room on 2/6/21 with CV-19 related breathing issues.
His wife just sent out an email. The doctors have told her that his lungs are shot and he will not live through the night.

Glad you got your first dose g.  Welcome to the club.  I got my first dose here in Texas the morning the weather started to deteriorate.  I am obviously not over 65.  But my doctor's office sent me a message that I was eligible to schedule an appt, so I jumped on.  I got the email at 4:30 am.  I was registered by 5.  One of the only times lately that I have been thankful I can't sleep these days.  Second dose is scheduled for 3/4.

While I'm not a fan of getting an "experimental" vaccine, in fact I don't typically get a flu shot, as I very rarely get sick, (working on year three without even a cold), I feel this one is worth it given that I see people I don't know or trust every week, and most of them don't wear masks, and many of those shops have had outbreaks.  They have caused me to have to quarantine once now, I'd rather have some level of personal protection than next to none.  As I understand it, the vaccine doesn't' prevent us from getting it, but it should prepare us to win the fight with relative ease.

I'm also thankful for getting it as I will be moving back to New England, and I don't think I would be getting it any time soon living up there, my dad has been vaccinated, but nobody else in my immediate family has had hardly a sniff at an appt, they are hoping for April.

Oh and my only side effect was that it felt like I had a monster bruise on my arm for about three days.  No discoloration, nothing else to note.  Just about a 4" tender area around the injection site.

I'm sitting on the fence as far as getting the shot goes, I've never had a flu jab either.  It isn't a work requirement so unless that changes for a legit reason I'll keep waiting and seeing what happens.  One thing that would definitely make the decision for me is if it becomes compulsory for a spurious reason, or there is some coercive nonsense involved.  Then they can shove it.

My wife and I got the 1st Moderna shot Friday. My arm was a little sore, the same as Nick.
Outside of that, we're fine no noticeable side effects

The woman who gave me my shot yesterday said the Pfizer shot produced less soreness than the Moderna
because the volume of fluid pumped into your arm was much less.
My arm is a little sore this morning but no more than it would be for any other shot

Quote from: Incogneeto post_id=6986 time=1613605730 user_id=72I find it curious you know the term..."Out of My Bailiwick."

Can you say who said it??

It comes from medieval England, where a bailiwick was a jurisdiction, like a shire.  Run by a bailiff, (like a sheriff [shire-reeve]).  The term means it's in someone else's territory.

Another positive test here at the shop. Account mgr who's been walking around here not feeling well for a WEEK.

Dumbass designer in the office next to mine has been sneezing and snotting all over the place for week saying, it's just allergies, just went to get tested.

I have allergies. Had them my whole life. NEVER had any symptoms of them when it's fuckin ZERO degrees outside.

Fucking idiots.
