Would you still feel that way if the popular vote supported your ideology and the tables were turned?
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Quote from: YoDoug on October 11, 2024, 12:45 PMI don't get the purpose of that question.

The number of electors haven't changed even though the population percentages have.  That's the point.

Am I wrong on this?

Yes. In my proposed system the presidency would align with house majority. The house has historically flipped back and forth over the years. IMO, this is the best result for the people. Any one party being in total power or power too long is not good for the people. There needs to be split representation to keep things more moderate.

I see it as a way to give places like Kansas a voice in the election. What someone here wants may be quite different than what someone in Seattle wants.

I used to think I would like to live up there but after visiting in June, I've changed my mind.

haha.. I'm not arguing for abolishing the electoral college, I'm just trying to justify the argument so people don't have to be euthanized.

Every ten years as part of the census congressional districts are redrawn to keep each district equal size in population. In my proposed system each district would get 1 elector.

That still doesn't change the population disparity problem.
