Dumbass designer in the office next to mine has been sneezing and snotting all over the place for week saying, it's just allergies, just went to get tested.

I have allergies. Had them my whole life. NEVER had any symptoms of them when it's fuckin ZERO degrees outside.

My wife was doing about 100 vaccinations per day before the end of January. Since then she has only worked 2 vaccine shifts and both were partial days, all the rest were canceled because they didn't have enough vaccine doses.

Sounds like O'Biden was the one who fcked everything up.

That poor kid has a Covid crazy nurse for a wife. He's been walking around for months with a mask permanently attached to his face. I doubt the old lady will let him in the house.

They told me they were  doing a thousand people a day at the place I went to yesterday
It was not crowded. The lines were very short.
We had a 3 o'clock appointment and arrived at 1:45.
They took care of us immediately and we were out the door by 2:30
That included a mandatory 30 minute wait to make sure we had no adverse reactions.

I think they are running out of people 65+ who want the shot in Riverside County
3 weeks ago when they announced the availability of vaccines, the available appointments were gone
in 30 minutes
This was the case for the last three weeks.
I'd get an email stating they were making appointments but there were none available
by they time I got there.

They announced more slots last Friday and I had no trouble getting 2 spots.
This week they also announced the availability of vaccines for high risk people under 65

Keep in mind, this is Riverside County, one of the last bastions of Republican governance
in California.
2 miles to the north of me is San Bernardino County.
It is deep deep blue, and bankrupt.

My wife's boss is 55, has high blood pressure and diabetes.
He is a San Bernardino resident and I have been trying to find
a vaccine for him to no avail.
The San Berdo vaccine programs looks to be a mess from what I'm finding
searching online.

I can see how someone in the medical profession would feel that way.
My wife's doctor is a resident at a local hospital and he's been working 20 hour shifts 7 days a week for months
He said there is a new strain coming in and they have no treatment for it
You either recover or you don't.
The acquaintance of mine who died last night is a testament to that.
He went to the hospital on 2/6 with difficulty breathing and died on 02/17
Basically, he spent 11 days suffocating to death as his ability to breath diminished.
That is a very unpleasant way to die.
My wife's doctor told her in no uncertain terms to get the vaccine and we are doing so.

The wife and I are wrapping up our quarantine tomorrow, having both tested positive last Friday (12th).  I went to work on Thursday the 11th, felt like I was coming down with a cold.  We're a small shop, 37,000 sq. ft. with 5 employees; I told everyone to stay away from me, which isn't hard to to.  I didn't go to break or lunch with the guys, just kept to myself in the shop or my office.  Called the doc mid morning and asked about getting tested.  They went through their questions, and told me I didn't meet the criteria for testing, but they would test if I insisted.  They recommended I give it a day or two and see if any more symptoms showed up.

Friday morning, wife and I both had low grade fever.  We both called work and said we weren't coming in.  Called doc's office when it opened at 8:00 AM, went and got tested, the fever being enough to green light the test here.  Rapid test was positive for both.  Quarantine for 10 days, beginning from onset of symptoms, which was Thursday the 11th.  

It's been interesting.  I asked the doc if they could give me an idea what to expect, and she said the symptoms were so random and so different that they could not really tell me what to expect.  They did give me a checklist of symptoms to watch for that could indicate we need to go to ER.  Fortunately, those never showed up.  I lost all taste and smell by last Saturday morning, but appetite has been good.  We've both had some fatigue, stuffiness, headaches, body aches, periodic coughing, etc.  I had a brief episode of being a bit short winded, but it passed in about 45 minutes.  It really has been all over the place regarding symptoms, but again for both us, all rather mild.  It's been crappy, cool, and wet here, so  good time to stay inside, I guess.

One co-worked was concerned enough to get tested, and he came back negative.  The other guys have felt fine and didn't get tested.

Overblown has been the sentiment not fake. Plenty of instance's where people have died from non Covid related issues and yet Covid is listed as a factor to get the money. Here in our state I can't even get a shot if I want. Homeless, convicts, politicians, obese, smokers etc...etc... all can. 60 year old on medication that lowers immune system working in an essential industry. Nope.
