I wonder if the Democratic party learned anything from this last election and if there will be some self reflection in the party? The pendulum is swinging pretty hard in one direction right now. Maybe it wont matter come mid-terms?

"In the Quinnipiac poll released on Wednesday, 31 percent of voters have a favorable view of the Democratic Party, compared to 57 percent holding an unfavorable view.

"This is the highest percentage of voters having an unfavorable opinion of the Democratic Party since the Quinnipiac University Poll began asking this question," the poll notes.

The poll shows that 22 percent of independent voters have a favorable opinion of the Democratic Party, versus 59 percent having an unfavorable view. Men have a 22 percent favorable view, versus 67 with an unfavorable view, while 39 percent of women have a favorable view of the party compared to 47 percent having an unfavorable view.

Voters appear to have a different opinion of the Republican Party as 43 percent have a favorable opinion versus 45 percent having an unfavorable opinion, the poll shows.

The survey was conducted from January 23-27 among 1,019 nationwide "self-identified" registered voters. The poll has a margin of error of 3.1 percent.

I said this in another thread a few weeks ago. Carter is often considered the worst president in modern times. Biden gave him a run for the title and quite possibly won. Carter effed up so much we had three consecutive terms of R presidents after. Over the last decade the left was hijacked by the progressives. They went full cancel/censor culture. A lot of people that were probably center left kept their mouths shut and went along because of that culture. We were also given a choice between the first four years of Trump or four more years of Biden/Harris. The people chose Trump so much that an R won the popular vote for the first time in 20 years. Unless the rational moderate Dems get back control of their party it could be a long time before they win big nationally.

Oh that title 1000% belongs to Biden. There's no doubt about that. He earned that almost immediately killing 13 Americans pulling out of Afghanistan and leaving BILLIONS of military equipment behind for the terrorists.

Biden is a grafter, a con artist. he went full speed in 2014. he ramped up his crime family ops in Ukraine and China. He sold foreign entities direct access for money. He was in it all along for himself and his family. He fooled the dem party into thinking he actually cared about their progressive emotions. He talked their crazy talk and gave them enough to make them think he was their guy. In the end he was not. Not a lot of public figures are willing to admit that on record, but there is chatter that they feel this way. The damage Biden has done to the dem party is bigger than the talking heads are saying. It will take an Obama type politician to rise out of this mess. And before someone from Cali claims Newsome is the guy, Newsome and most top Dem players are covered in Biden stink because of their association with him. It will take someone new, barely on the radar now.

And to boot, by all accounts, Carter was a honorable man without ulterior motives and was generally a good dude. Absolute shit POTUS, but good dude.

I've believed the Dems have been overplaying their hand A LOT over the last 14-ish years. They may have destroyed their party in the process. We shall see.

The right deserves some time to run roughshod over the left... they've been doing it to the right since around 2009. They need to be punished for being the petulant children they are. If they can manage to own their shit (DEI, child grooming, COVID mandates, Student Loan Debt forgiveness, etc...) and grow up, then we can talk about easing off.

Until then, scorched earth is the order of the day. The earned it. They deserve it.
