Been there. Many years ago I screwed up a 5,000lb chunk of steel in the cnc lathe. It was either 4150pht or 17-4 stainless I can't remember. But I just walked right into his office and told him that I fucked up. Of course he wasn't happy about it but I know he appreciates when people man up and admit their mistakes.
I've never understood people that are afraid to admit they scrapped a part and they either try to hide it or blame someone else for it.

If someone scraps a big part or wrecks a spindle I buy them lunch. Least a small single good thing happened  that day

That's how mid level managers do it
If they never make a decision, they never make a mistake

In your case, you have a perfect record.
You've never made a part, or even tried to make a part
therefore you have never scrapped a part

Behold... a perfect quality record  :unworthy:

The more money I pile up in savings and equity, the further behind I feel.  I think this Monopoly money comment pretty well sums up my opinion on inflation.  Regardless of the fact that I save usually 25-50% of my annual earnings, inflation seems to just make the value of our hard earned savings be worth less and less.  Even retirements earnings, almost double what I make in a year, still feels like it isn't getting me anywhere when the government just throws everyone money.  Don't get me wrong, I'll take the stimulus money, but it won't even begin to offset the devaluation of the assets I have.

I swear the stimulus is just a smokescreen for something shitty they are planning to do for us.

As for the shop drama queen.  We all know guys like that.  In fact I run into them almost everyday.  It's easy to pick them out when you visit a shop.  Some of them are very good at what they do, other's, not so much.  But usually they only stick around if the management is willing to put up with it or actively participates.

I will admit that it is also very easy to get wrapped up in the drama if you aren't careful.  It has put me in a negative light in the past, and it's very hard to recover from.
