I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

My opinion is the left going there are  not there to hear responses to their questions and concerns. They are there to shout people down. Pathetic.

Guess what, Nutboy? Constituents have the right to communicate their displeasure with their elected representatives in a variety of ways. Your team likes to raid the Capitol when they are too stupid to understand that their side lost. Another team might choose shout people down. Some are more appropriate (and legal) than others. I'll let you, as the board's resident constitutional scholar, figure it out on your own.

At the Spokane town hall you would expect a decent amount of disruption since it just wasn't Baumgartners crowd. The crowd had two major concerns. The legality of DOGE and their indiscriminate dismantling of government agencies, and the loss of checks and balances within the federal government.  When Baumgartner realized that it wasn't his crowd, he just attempted to gaslight them. That went about as well as you would think.

They actually sound kinda informed. Definitely not something a Republican would want to talk about.

What people think "Checks and Balances" means more often than not differs from what it actually means.

Keep in mind, most of these people think the words "Separation of Church and State" are actually in the US Constitution.

Hint; those exact words cannot be found ANYWHERE in the US Constitution. They were found and subsequently taken out of context from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Church.

These people would fail the US Citizenship exam at an alarming rate.

I'm starting to wonder if people think it means what ever they want it to mean at any given time.

Thanks for the lesson, Nutboy! By "most of these people," who do you mean? Because "many people" understand that those exact words are indeed not in the Constitution, but understand the 1st Amendment just fine.

You and me both.

I hear "That's Unconstitutional" so much it's nauseating.

When asked "Where?"it's usually met with insults and pejoratives.

They wouldn't know the US Constitution if someone beat their ass with it.

When a politician signs an EO and it gets challenged in court, that's NOT a "Constitutional Crisis" that is the system working. When one side doesn't like the outcome, they can appeal. If the issue in question is severe enough, it can move to SCOTUS in short order. That is the system working regardless if we agree with the outcome (unless the Judiciary oversteps IT's boundaries which has happened) or not.

The REAL problem is we have had a dysfunctional government (branches overstepping their bounds repeatedly) for so long, most do not know how it actually should function nor do they care to actually find out. They would rather hear it from (insert favorite media outlet).
