I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Del.

I'm not for any bill that's not fully paid for without adding to debt. Not for Trump or anyone else.

Elon's about to get investigated....

Musk calls GOP tax cut and spending bill a 'disgusting abomination'

QuoteTech billionaire Elon Musk blasted President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful" bill of tax cuts and spending plans just days after departing the administration.

"This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination," Musk posted Tuesday on the social platform X, warning that the bill will increase the federal deficit. "Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."

You cannot cut taxes without cutting Spending.   This should be economics 101.  I'll call out the shitty Republicans, unlike the Dems.  They're all angels

It was a noble effort, D.O.G.E.

I was VERY cautiously optimistic that the waste they were going to uncover was going to accomplish anything. At the very least get some worthless wastes of government closed up. Hey! A guy can dream.

Washington DC is California on steroids and can never be fixed. Congress is not only unwilling or worse, unable to do their jobs, the executive and legislative branch BOTH seem more than happy to overstep their boundaries.

250 years was a good run.

Do you think the President hasn't been pushing this bill non-stop or won't sign this bill once it hits his desk? Too bad there isn't a compilation out there of Trump mentioning the "big beautiful bill".

A simple 'No' would suffice 8)

I mean, it was a question asked in bad faith. Everyone knows damn well that this is Trumps signature bill. Well, maybe not everyone.

He has the last word about what's in and what's out.

I wonder if the golden dome could stop drones. A gazillion dollars spent only to be compromised by a toy.

It's not been passed yet.  Yes, he has the last word, that was not my question Neuo.
Congress does Not work for the the people, they work for the donors Period.  That goes for Red, blue, green, doesn't matter.
Hell, half of these idiots didn't even read what's in it AND voted for it.  It even has over a Billion in funding for NPR and PBS.  I guess that means we have state funded media

Trump just needs to admit it isn't possible to cut spending, and look at a different route.  I don't have an answer and neither do you.

I feel pretty hopeless for our endless spending.

I agree. This line of thinking is what got me labeled a fence sitter. I came to the realization that neither party is in this for me. I'm politically homeless. To me, it's a good position to be in because I don't have to blow with the political wind when it comes to partly line politics.

You're 100% right about that.

Only a crisis will give political cover to actually cut spending. That is the actual answer and I have it. 😁
Is what it is. Keep charging at that. Cliff

I don't know anything about Walsh, but apparently he decided to go out in style.

I don't think I would want to be in Trumps crosshairs in this political environment.
