What tunes are you listening to right now, while you work?

Crazy to think this was from 1984....wish I'd known about him then (but to be fair I probably would have disliked it, sadly).

It's interesting to see interviews with him from that time, too. He explains some of the struggles associated with this music ("too rock for jazz stations, and too jazz for rock stations").

Yea.. I wouldn't have listened to that in 1984. 

I forget that he exists because I don't listen to it very often but I was watching an interview of Misha Mansoor from Periphery and he credited him for his influence.

Listening to some of his earlier work with other bands (Tony Williams Lifetime, Soft Machine, UK, Jean-Luc Ponty) I realize I *would* have listened to that stuff at the time-if only I had been aware of it.

And he was a cyclist, too-that makes it even mo' bettah in my book! A couple of years ago I learned that he'd had a custom frame built for himself by Bill Holland at Holland Cycles in Spring Valley, CA (San Diego area). Back then I built frames up here (Nor Cal), but didn't do paint...Joe Bell at Holland Cycles did this work for me. I knew that AH lived in Vista and asked him if he knew of him...."know him, Bill made him a frame! He gave me a signed copy of "Wardenclyffe Tower."

It sounds like it will cover some of AH's work with/for others, and not his later solo work.
