Making a twat of yourself again rather than reading the information.... :rolleyes:
With all the heavy shit Whitney Webb has written about, and all her books that she's published WITH ALL THE DETAIL, and she's still alive, proves the one thing. She's a state asset to help "revelation of the method" ie soft release.
I would have her at least 75+% right 75% of the time.
Or more.

Quote from: beej on January 10, 2025, 01:53 PMI'm not sure what "get's their news from social media" actually means.
My "news feed" shows up when I log into e-mail from a web browser. Typically it comes from Time, AP, USA Today, People, The Telegraph, Yahoo, NBC Universal, ABC News, Fox NewsHuffPost, and NPR. Of the 26 stories that showed up in my feed just now they are as follows QTY-Wise;
Time = 1
AP = 5
USA Today = 3
People = 5
The Telegraph = 2
Yahoo = 1
NBC Universal = 1
ABC = 2
Fox = 1
HuffPost = 1
Forbes = 1
CNN = 2
Epoch Times = 1

That's where I start. Then if I want somethign light, I'll go to OAN. There's no serious investigative journalism going on there.

Not much conservative stuff there. Honestly, it's pretty tiring weeding through the shit in NPR, HuffPost, and AP. Seriously. Whatever. That's what it takes to have an understanding of different perspectives. Because I know and understand the history of NATO and the recent history of the USSR and it's fall, I've been accused of being a Putin sympathizer by mouth breathing, house shoe wearing retards. Whatever. They are idiots and can't see another perspective to save their lives. :coffee:

Whatever shows up in my IG feed I take with a grain of salt. If I find it interesting or if it seems like a no fuckin' way, then I'll go to Duck-Duck Go and search for some terms to cast as wide a net as possible and see if I can find corroborating stories from different POV's. If not, it goes into the #BS stack never to be thought of again.

That's the typical cycle for me.

I don't have FB. LinkdIn... honestly, I only have it because I feel like I have to have it. That feed is COMPLETE shit. I spend more time tagging stuff as boring or uninteresting. The cool stuff is Defense News Daily, and a few other similar things. A lot of the DOD stuff is propaganda though. GOtt weed though a lot of shit to find interesting stuff.

I get my news from CNN and MSNBC, so I know that Trump is in fact Hitler reincarnated, and Joe Biden's mental health was beyond question for the last 4 years.  :yes:

Why?
If it wasn't for social media all we'd have is the shit that television and radio wants us to see and hear and the world would be full of dumbsmits.

You're joking, right?

Most of the shit I see on social media is either partially untrue, or just complete bull shit. Nobody bothers to vette sources or accuracy of the information if they agree with it. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. It's absolutely crazy.

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised that *some* people don't see this as a problem.  :lol: I feel like these days you should be trying to confirm everything you read or watch but comparing social media posts, which have literally zero accountability, to radio or news sources?  :shrug:

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

If it wasn't for social media

What was that quote from Roger Ailes I posted recently.

"people don't want to be informed, they want to feel informed"

I'm sure he was talking about the people who religiously consume Faux News but I feel like the same applies to people who rely on social media to be "informed".

I'll Trump your quote with this one

Now that Twitter has reached left/right user parity with Musk's takeover I'd venture to guess that conservative perspectives are far more pervasive because they are the ones that can withstand common sense scrutiny.
Without big money Marxist/pharmaceutical donors tipping the scales of the legacy media they would be able to sell that garbage

Totally agree. And most people don't have the desire to confirm. or even if they do have the desire, have the time it takes to confirm. But a little skepticism goes a long way. As in, I'm not sure if that's true so I'm not spreading it.

So-called 'news' sources used to have credibility, now they have agendas.

James has the right approach.
Take in information from a variety of sources and sift through it to separate fact from agenda driven propaganda.
Yeah, it takes work, but it gives you the best chance of being as informed as possible.

I agree, much of it is garbage and with the advent of AI for the masses. it's getting worse.

However, if I got my news from the MSM and White House press briefings alone, I would know for a fact that
the responsibility for the disaster unfolding here in Cali rests squarely on the shoulders on Donald Trump.
