I don't think it could get any worse.  I mean, having to say a pro-noun isn't as bad as this.

Oh contraire mon fraire... you've not lived in The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan where she was the AG... so I'll excuse your ignorance. You should have been paying attention to the Word Salad Queen when she was VP though... it WOULD have been so much worse. That wh0re can't even properly construct a coherent sentence.

I was, and a dumb person vs a vindictive POS who puts his own vendetta before the good of the people, I don't see how she could have been worse.

Of course, we'll never know, but I doubt she would have taken the same steps to unilaterally run government, congress be damned.

And don't get me wrong.  I wouldn't have voted for her either.

1st, the illegal alien situation would be exponentially worse by the end of her term. Guaranteed.
2nd, there would be a doubling down of the absurd so-called "green" initiatives with zero reveals.
3rd, The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan would still be dictating vehicle emissions policy FOR THE ENTIRE USA.
4th, manufacturing would STILL be fleeing the USA.
I could go on.

Look, #OrangeManBad is bad in A LOT of ways, but the wh0re, she's bad in EVERY way imaginable and then some.

There hasn't been any meaningful legislation passed that tells me this crisis is going to be fixed when Trump leaves office.

Forgive my ignorance on this one, but how is manufacturing doing with Trump in office?

QuoteJobs and output
Analyses of the first year of Trump's current term find that key indicators such as manufacturing employment, construction momentum, capacity utilization, and industrial production show stagnation, not a large expansion.

Policy reviews note that manufacturing jobs fell in 2025, with a reported loss on the order of tens of thousands of positions since Trump returned to office.

1) True, and is par for Congress' course EVERY session. They sit back, do nothing, then blame POTUS, or The Judicial Branch for doing nothing. :sigh:

2) I can only speak to the West Coast. The 2nd half of 2025 we saw a double digit increase in re-shoring (things previously machined overseas, now machined here). I spent 162 nights in Hotels in 2025... 90% of which was servicing new machine installations. This surpassed my 2nd half 2009 to 1st half 2010 record of 135 nights... when I was the only Applications Engineer in the company. We have 5 now. Anecdotal? Maybe. We have several primes in each of 4 different categories (Energy, Defense, Space, and Semi-Conductor) as customers. All are growing. "I" think energy is growing the most, but that is certainly open for debate. We only have 1 Prime as a customer in Automotive. EV is a volatile sector right now. Most major brands are scaling back or eliminating 100% EV production in favor of hybrid.

Isn't that loss normal attrition? I know we're not keeping up with that and automation is the only thing keeping US machining afloat IMHO.

Overall the shops I see struggling to get work are the shops that do easy work in easy materials.  The shops I see growing are the shops doing difficult work in medium to difficult materials.

That's my take.

Opinion: I think what is driving Energy is Trump's policy on small to medium size nuclear reactor (think semi-trailer size) development. He opened up the use of more DOE facilities for testing, he shrunk the time from project/product submission to testing from years to months.

The true value of that policy won't be seen until after he leaves office because developmenti s still a years-long process.

Hopefully whomever gets voted in after Trump doesn't reverse this policy.  For the nation's energy needs' sake... solar and wind just ain't gonna even make a dent in satiating demand.

CBS "News" poll. Did you REALLY expect a different result?

Am I in favor of taking Greenland by military force? Nah. I think it's completely unnecessary. There are other means to achieve ours and NATO's strategic objectives that would be at bare minimum grudgingly amenable to all parties, and yeah they may hold our imperialism over our heads for a few generations, but at least it would put NATO nations in a better position defensively. These are the types of components these specious polls would never dare Broach. It takes away from #OrangeManBad and asks earnest geopolitical questions... which BTW the VAST majority of Americans are ill equipped to answer due to their woeful ignorance of how anything works.

When you consider more than an election cycle's worth of rhetoric he may not be as bad as you think. I still don't like him but at least I can look past surface stuff and see things that ARE in our and our allies best interests as a global super-power.
