We are a week out from the mid-term elections. Barring any crazy last minute surprises, what are you predictions?

I think the R's are going to take the house, by 15-20 seats when it is done. I think they are going to win big in smaller state elections.

I'm not so confident for the senate. All of the states that are now considered toss ups are the same states that pulled the late night vote dumps and extended counting shenanigans to steal the 2020 election. In WI, Michels and Johnson are polling a couple points up, but in Milwaukee the same handful of precincts will dump enough votes in the middle of the night if needed. MI, same. AZ same, PA same. If the cheaters come out in full force like they did in 2020 I think the R's could even lose a seat or two in the senate.

The Governor races will go the same as the senates in most states.

Predictions?

I think an honest election would yield a Republican blowout
However control of the Senate is too important for the Dem party pols in Philly, Atlanta, Vegas
and Phoenix to do things honestly.
The Dem's goal is to gain control of the Senate and eliminate the filibuster, though they may have second
thoughts since they won't control the House.
One thing is certain, if the Dem's do lose the Senate, the filibuster will become the Lynchpin of Democracy!
I pray for a fair election but am not expecting one.

I am convinced that the close polling numbers are manufactured. The closer the numbers, the more coverage the race gets, the media (who also conducts these polls) is the winner. Dunno if this coverage of theoretical close races favor one side over the other much, but it does encourage voter turnout.

If history tells us anything, the party controlling the executive office will almost always lose control of the legislative branch in mid-terms.

Just announced Biden will give a speech tonight on the threat of election deniers. The fix is in, they know they are going to have to cheat big to not lose both the house and the senate.

Yup.
The older I get, the more cynical I get.  :wallbash:

If the Dems win the Senate, they will almost assuredly vote to end the fillibuster, expand / stack the Supreme Court, and add two more states that will guarantee 4 more Dem Senate seats in perpetuity...

first they promote election deniers in the primaries, then they label them a threat to democracy in the general election. Got it!!

we have a retired judge in the small town i live in that is now a proprietor of a landmark tavern/inn. when she voted in the 2020 election she tried several times to select Trump and it would not register. She then selected Biden and no problem there, she again tried Trump and no go. So she called the people in charge and explained to them what happened and since it was early morning, how many people had used that machine prior. At first they would not reveal this until one of the members realized she was a retired judge. She requested them to call back the 21 people prior to her vote to see if there were any discrepancies... guess what, there was, and many had voted Trump and was not recorded. Now this happened in a small town in Ohio, imagine what happened across the country.. Now i'm sure there are 2-3 folks on here that will not believe this, all i can say is wake up before our Republic is gone...

Not my words, google "Joe Biden speech tonight" and all of the mainstream media outlets are quoting WH press release calling election deniers a threat to democracy.

I live in a 75% Dem county that has been gerrymandered for decades by the party in power, so don't just lay that on the Repugs.
That cuts equally across the board for both parties, depending on where you live.
