Byron Donalds has been nominated for speaker of the house. Any congress member that doesn't vote for him (R or D) is racist!

BOTH sides in our 2-party system have become so tribal that few would even THINK about agreeing with the other party simply because of the fallout they would incur from within their own party.

Ask Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema what that is like.

So this whole House Speaker debacle is no surprise.
If McCarthy can't convince his OWN PARTY to accept his leadership, he is not fit to lead.

If he is willing to grant concessions to the other party but not his own, he is not fit to lead.

I think Byron Donalds is a good candidate for Speaker.

Having said that, we all know McCarthy isn't just going to throw in the towel, so we'll see if the establishment wins or if real change is even possible.

I'm not optimistic about anything changing...

Our qc department checks it until it is out of tolerance by a thou and rejects it....or measures a chamfer angle out of tolerance by .1 deg....

Anyways, what a shit show this is in the house. I'd like to see Jim Jordan as speaker but that will never happen.

Me too, but he has made it clear he doesn't want the job. (Can't say I blame him.)
He wants to chair the Judiciary Committee, which is where I think his talents would be best used.

I saw Congresswoman Lauren Bobert on Hannity last night trying to explain why she and a few others are holding out against voting for McCarthy, but Hannity would hardly let her speak.

He is the WORST interviewer ever!
