My comment was that introducing young children to gender / sexuality concepts is a grooming behavior used by pedophiles.
THEIR end game is obviously molesting children.

I keep seeing the term "grooming" being used. What I'm asking is, what is the end game here. What are they "grooming" children for? To be more accepting of the gay and trans community? To be trans themselves? The comparison to pedophiles is used because it's meant to be thought of as something that is bad. I don't get to follow this enough to know what the end game is actually supposed to be.

A 5 year old or an 8 year old don't have the capacity to make an adult decision.

Now at 17 ? Possibly.

Even in their 20's some still do not have that capacity.

As a Parent I want to afford my child the time to evolve and learn.

I mean, most of us grew up in a *very* bigoted (and racist) generation  They were still beating up kids in school for being gay when I was in jr high and high school.  Trying to get passed that isn't as horrible as people make it sound.

I do agree that there is a time and place for it and for those parents who just aren't going to accept bi and trans people no matter what, shouldn't have it forced down their or their kids throats. That isn't the job of our teachers and if parents want to keep their kids sheltered from that stuff, then they should be able to.   

And yes, I was introduced to a lot of things when I was young that most people aren't.  Maybe that's why I don't look at a group of people as being freaks but at the individuals for who they really are?

Their children were introduced to that community since before they were old enough to start remembering.  I don't know how to answer that necessarily because none of these kids are damaged in any way and their parents are great people and good parents.  Should gay and trans people not be allowed to adopt or raise children?  Honest question.

A little secret.  8 year old kids who have access to internet and smart phones probably know more than you think they do anyway.  If theirs are locked down with parental controls there is a chance their friends aren't.  How old where you when you started hiding nudie magazines in the woods?
