Well I originally thought that since the trial would be in New Mexico instead of LaLa Land, they might actually be able to find a competent prosecutor, judge, and jury who understood what the terms 'reckless endangerment' and 'manslaughter' mean in real life.

Sadly that was not the case, and Helena Hutchinson's family still has to endure life without her while the person responsible for ending her life walks away a free man.

A friend of mine always calls it the 'Just-Us' system, and I can't disagree with him...

Its a totally Democratic government and corrupt to it's core
My wife's employer bought a couple of dairies in NM thinking to escape the lunacy here in Cali
but it's the same old crazy, just a different flavor.
They do leave the oil and gas business alone, but only because it's pretty much the state government's
sole source of income.

There are SO many messed up things in play here. 1) Idiots that know NOTHING about firearms not only create legislation regarding them, but even bigger idiot bureaucrats regulate them. 2) DA's that more often than not CCW them are clueless about them. 3) True criminals get away with murder. 4) Process criminals get locked up and the keys get thrown away, and 5) Victims get victimized by idiots noted in 1-3.

The armorer should very well still have charges. And she likely will get the brunt of it.

That individual will never make it to trial. There will be an "accident" of some sort or a "suicide".

The simplest explanation is usually the correct one
The armorer properly secured the pistol after it was used
Some set hands took the pistol out plinking and returned it with a round in the chamber
The pistol was brought to the next day's filming
and the armorer failed to check it, or Baldwin picked it up and started playing the fool
before the armorer cleared it.... and a women died.
At any rate, there is a slam dunk civil rights law suit here.
