If the winners are winning 70/30 then it looks like they're representing their constituents the way the voters want them to.

But here is the problem...
These same 70% who keep re-electing the same school board members and city council representatives are the same ones who bitch and moan the loudest when the city and the school district are going broke, and their taxes go up!

It's almost like they are TOO FKIN STUPID to see that their votes have kind of a 'cause-and-effect' thing happening here.
THAT is the frustrating part.

Here's a good example.
A neighbor of mine who is a fiscally conservative kind of guy managed to get elected to our school board some years ago.

One of the first things he discovered when delving deep into the budget were at least TWO no-bid (a.k.a. 'sweetheart') contracts for supplies and services that were awarded to a company in a different city whose CEO just happened to play golf once a week with our school district superintendent as league partners in the same country club.

This school director raised the roof over those two particular contracts, getting them subsequently awarded to eligible businesses within the city, and for FAR less money than the district was previously paying.
Win / Win for the city and the taxpayers, right?

That school director got voted out after one term and he never ran for any elected office after that.
Some people just can't stand prosperity...

I swear 95% of people are still oblivious to all of this, even though there's the next plandemic currently planned for 2025 and climate lockdowns are going to come "out of the blue".

Most people just don't get it, or refuse to listen and accept it. The world is in a post growth phase. The populations are not growing fast enough to support the wealth of the billionaires. They are not going to just let their wealth slip away. They are coming for the wealth of the middle class. They want your homes/401k/etc. Hence "you will own nothing and like it". They will reward/bribe politicians on both sides of the isle that help facilitate the steal.

And there is the beauty of allowing uninformed people to vote for policy and politicians. 

We had some good proof how bad this turns out when the local morons voted for our light rail extension only to find out that their property tax and vehicle tabs exploded out of control.  Hipsters found out that the tabs for their new Tesla's were going to be $1500 a year and their property tax increased $200.  The property tax increase wasn't quite as bad of a shock, but at the same time something called the McCleary decision was passed which was also a major hit to people's property taxes across the State.

All of these morons who voted this in were the biggest whiners when they found out how it was being paid for.

I read articles from independent journalists that shit on both sides.  This particular journalist was more than happy to call the dems out for the Russian collusion nonsense. They're pretty fair on *most* topics. I don't listen to or read anything that comes from hard right or left media unless someone points me to an article and I'm interested in what it has to say.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they're worried about the potential for Biden to lose but as much as I dislike him, I have my doubts that he would.

I believe that unless there were a supermajority in the Senate, that's obviously the way it was going to go.  The vote for one was 57 - 43 with 7 Republicans supporting the Impeachment. 

Those impeachments were nothing more than a circus.
