Yes, we've seen improvement since the peek; the month-long trend is pointing down.  No, the numbers are not falling like a rock.  Last we talked about this, Indiana was at 40 deaths per day, now we have 51 for the most recent day the data is available.  That increase could be considered within the limits of statistical noise, but the seven day trend is pointing up.

You've said several times "zero deaths yesterday!" when in fact once the numbers are available a couple days later, those days did indeed have several deaths.

Most of the major newspapers and news sources I read all have articles stating the rates of infection, hospitalizations, and death are going down. Hopefully we can maintain that and this spring and fall will bring relief for all of us.

Nationwide, cases are down a bit.  Deaths are steady at the moment, if not rising a bit, but usually lag behind cases by about two weeks.

1800 cases in Hoosierland today.

First day under 2K since October.

Oh, and look... All the tightly lockdowned Democrat strongholds are suddenly ALL about reopening less than a week after Biden is sworn in. I'm sure they are all just following the science.

I think newsom is feeling the pressure from businesses, not Biden - it's about the same amount of time of the first lockdown no?

he's feeling the recall effort
it's organizers are close to reaching the number of signatures required to file
I believe they need  1.2 million
The goal is 1.5 million as a cushion against ineligible signators

And Cuomo? And Whitmer? They're finally caving to businesses? Why now? What's changed?

Those three never met a lockdown they didn't want to impose. Never had a fuck to give about the thousands of business they were killing. Suddenly, it's all good?

And while Newsome, Whitmer, and Cuomo are all suddenly and simultaneously worried about business, not a peep from them about opening their schools. If it's safe enough to open bars and restaurants, surely it's safe enough to open schools.

They cared deeply about all those businesses and lives the lockdowns were destroying
They were martyrs in their never ending  jihad against Trump.
Everything they did and every business they killed was blamed on Trump
Now that Trumps is gone they can no longer deflect the blame

Just found this out yesterday from a friend of mine.
Her dad has been confined to the nursing home for almost a full year now, with zero visitors allowed after the initial lockdown.  They set up a room with a plexiglass divider for visitors, but her dad can hardly see and hear, so it was useless.

Up until a few weeks ago, the nursing home maintained a spotless record of ZERO COVID cases, patients or staff.  They started administering the vaccinations a few weeks back to all patients and staff.  As of today they now have 18 cases between patients and staff.  Complete and total bullshit.

AAAAAAND, families were told that they STILL couldn't have an in-person visit, even though Dad was vaccinated, and the family members who wanted to visit had confirmed negative test results.

My friend's Dad survived landing on the beach on D-Day, and he later fought in the 'Battle of the Bulge' in the Ardennes Forest.  His odds of surviving both of those events were probably slim to none, but yet he survived to make it back home in one piece, start a family, and live a good life in the country he fought for.

Now in his 90's he feels like a prisoner in a fkin nursing home who can't even get a hug from his family.
Sorry, but I'M FKIN PISSED OFF about this!
