Isn't that the problem with government provided health care? every 4 years there will be somebody in charge of it that you despise.  At least with private health care you can choose a company if you despise the one you have.

Can you? I have a choice between two companies,  vs. canada where you can goto any hospital or doctor you want

If people like Canada's healthcare so much one could always... MOVE THERE.

so as always you use a bullshit anecdote to form your entire opinion. Good job!

Remember, It's going to just disappear by summer. (Of 2020.)

I think it would be a good idea for you to finally let go of Trump's nutsack and just admit that he handled the pandemic about as bad as he possibly could have. At least Biden admits that COVID is real, and is taking steps towards getting us through it. Are thing going to change much in the next couple of months? (referring to the above quote which you either can't comprehend or are taking out of context)

Absolutely not. But at least we finally have adults working on the problem.

Oh really? I'm sure you know exactly how it could/should have been handled....right? Biden had a 100 day plan, do you remember that? 100 days and he's eradicate it! WOW I bet that got your vote didn't it?
Then the minute he takes office he admits that it's not going to be easy. What's his plan? Oh that's right he didn't fucking have a plan because he doesn't know jack shit about it.
Why not be original for once and stop parroting all of the lamestream media's talking points.
What's that? They don't have any talking points now? That's because they're too busy literally FAWNING all over PEDOJOE and Heels up Harris.
Hell I'm surprised he didn't get the Nobel already.

I couldn't tell you of a hospital in my area that I can't go to.  But I am curious about your experience with both systems, though. I know we view political things differently, but objectively as you can tell me the differences.  I'm guessing that you paid more in taxes in Canada than you do in Cali. Probably considerably more than I pay in a red state.  but do you make more money here?  and how does it come out in the wash as far as medical expenses, taxes and income?

I would pay out the nose to go out of network - there's a decent amount of Sharp hospitals here, but if there's a specialist that's needed out of network, good luck.

Great questions, I'll try to be objective and mind you this is the experience of someone who is in great health, although at this point I've had two major surgeries and broken bones in california.

The taxes thing is something that people always assume is much higher .My taxes in Canada were virtually identical, within %1, but then adding in paying into a medical plan and my overall deductions, I was paying overall about $200 a month more than I was in Canada.
Medical expenses haven't been too bad, generally a wash but some years with co-pays/deductions when myself or my wife had an issue, we paid between 500-1000 a year.    The bigger cost is the time and energy spent looking at plans, thinking about things, dealing with people calling, the administrative nonsense of insurance and billing etc. etc.
Not only did I never pay anything extra in Canada, I didn't have to think about it ever.

I now make a lot more money than I did in Canada, but I've been working here for five years, and given my friends back home who are senior engineers at decent companies, we make about the same.
living expenses in California SUCK. But Kitchener-Waterloo (where I was living) has also gotten expensive.

Overall, nothing has really changed that much except I have a smaller house, and I pay a bit more more, and have a little less freedom to chose.

But also all my friends and neighbours had their health covered.
Here, maybe half have Obamacare now, without it they went years without? That sucks.  That's why I push public healthcare. Give people an equal chance because you don't always get to pick what health issues you have.

You wish that example was bullshit and anecdotal. It points to a much larger issue you "Healthcare should be like Canada" kool-aid drinkers refuse to even acknowledge. So, yeah, good job on YOU for failing to acknowledge Canada's healthcare issues. It's so great you are HERE and not there. You immigrants don't like our stuff, fine. leave. Nobody is stopping you.

I'm confused, sounds like you would make the same in Canada, you now have a smaller house and cost of living in California is slightly more, and god forbid you need a specialist you'll pay through the nose. Why not go back?

So Biden signed an EO today banning the use of the phrase "China Virus" in gov literature and communication. I can't help but wonder why. Is it a distraction to keep from looking at the other EO's he signed this week. Or did Chinese President Xi Jinping, who owns Biden, tell him to do it?
