I don't shovel my drive way. I don't really see why I should. I don't walk on it. I get my mail from my car when I pull in the driveway. And it will melt. I never have visitors.

The poor schmucks about 30 miles west of here are getting HAMMERED with lake effect snow. Like 20" since 5am. Sunny skies here and a balmly 15°.

I was looking at Wundermap's global temps and it's pretty cold everywhere you look.

It has been a mild winter. Except for the last week.

We're supposed to be back in the 40s next week and above normal through the end of the month.

There's 5 adults with 5 cars and 2 children in our home. We moved here in August and are still clearing out the garage so we all park in the driveway for now. So the driveway gets shoveled. Fortunately, the cars cover most of the square footage of the driveway so it's basically between cars that gets shoveled. I think even if we did all park in the garage I'd still shovel it because it looks nicer. Personal preference.

After living in Anacrime for 15 years and parking in car ports I always park in the garage now.
Even on the first night in our new place in Riverside, I cleared the garage out enough to get the cars
in.
We've lived here since 2005 and the cars have never been parked on the driveway or street... ever..
not one time. After living in Anacrime and suffering at least a dozen auto burglaries and smashed windows  over the years, the peace of mind you get parking in a garage is priceless.
