I'm pretty much a 60's and 70's music fan

Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I'm not much for that style either.

I'll take meh Johnny Cash albums over those guys any day of the week.

Quote from: neurosis on March 19, 2024, 11:31 AMWe banned music out in our shop back in the early 2000's but it had nothing to do with productivity.

Way way back in the day I worked with a guy who liked a 50's golden oldies station.
This station played "Walk Like a Man" at least twice an hour 24/7/365
I came to hate that song with a burning passion.
After a couple of years of it I could take no more.
Polite requests to turn it down or change the station once in a while were laughed off.
One day, something in me snapped. I picked up an Ø1.5" x 4 foot long piece of 303 stainless steel from the bar feed rack and smashed the radio flat. We were a radio free shop after that.

And make it LOUD.

What are you into lately? British? 90s American? Extreme?
I have been a thrash/black metal guy for a long time, the bossman at the shop put me onto deathcore and slam in the past year or so, and I've expanded my tastes quite a bit.

Lately, I don't let a week go by without giving these three a playthrough:

Years ago a guy had a little slot machine and he bugged me to pull the handle. It shocked the shit out of me. Later I asked to see it again. I placed it on a die table and took a 3 inch diameter piece of steel and smashed it into a hundred pieces

LOL

You guys both reminded me of that scene in 'Animal House' where the guy is sitting on the steps playing his guitar and singing, and Bluto (John Belushi) stops and listens for a minute, then he snatches the guitar from him and smashes it up against the wall into a million pieces.

He hands the neck of the guitar back to the guy, shrugs his shoulders, and says "Sorry..." and walks away.

Classic!!

Ugggh....the worse musician out there. Could never stand any of his music. Wagon wheel is a terrible song, but his version of it is like nails on a chalkboard. He opened up for Garth Brooks a few years ago here in MN and it was absolute BOVINE EXCREMENT (to quote James  ;D ) I almost walked out....

Classic Rock? So like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nine Inch Nails?  :guitar:
