It was complete bullshit from the beginning. There were no crimes committed, and the judge basically told the jury to pick something he's guilty of and get back to me.

In a word, no.
It's fairly complex, but suffice it to say that he never had a glimmer of hope for anything even resembling a fair trial in Manhattan.

The judge committed so many grievous errors that there is a 99.999% chance it will be overturned, but they don't care.
The point was to hang the 'convicted felon' label on Trump, so they succeeded in that.

By the time the case goes through the appeals process the November election will be long over with.

I have been saying it all along...this is what third-world banana republics do.
El Presidente has his chief rival arrested, tried, and convicted of SOMETHING.
Whether he is guilty or not is irrelevant, as long as it damages him politically.

THAT is the real travesty here.

They interviewed Hugh Hewitt, a conservative talk show host.
He stated that the Trump reelection campaign and Republican campaigns up and down the ballot saw a tidal wave of donations yesterday.

Not sure if this will gain votes for Trump, but the uptick in donations coincidental to the announcement of the (sham) verdict is interesting...

However the only thing he is guilty of is being friends with the democrats for the past 50 years, then coming out as a republican.

Almost 80 years old and never a single charge in his life, then all of a sudden 98 felony charges as he announces his campaign. That's what he's guilty of.

Same here, however I MAY have donated to Gary Johnson in 2016, but if anything it was likely 5 or 10 bucks. However MOST politicians weren't rich BEFORE they went into office. Most were average wage citizens, then somehow, on an average persons $100k salary became millionaires. No clue how that happens....

I'm not fully sure how campaign finance laws work? Are they forced to rely mostly on donations? Or can they fully fund their run from their pocket?
