reminds me of a time the shop manager was walking through the shop and grabs one of my 1 2 3 blocks and looks at it kind of puzzled like and says geez we sure make a lot of these..

Yep Mine walked through and saw all the Barrels full of Material and Says"Why do we have sooo Much Scrap?"

He Never looked at all the parts in the Bins.

todays special , weekend guy says this is impossible , these parts cant be made this way! spends all weekend re vamping " optimizing" he sys .
come in to a pile of scrap from the original way we made them, another pile of scrap from the "optimized" way that the guy thought were good parts ... and I get the ole  what happened we have been making these for the last 7 years? what's changed ? and never have had a problem before  speech, from the weekend and day shift supervisors at my desk
                                                       I reply only things that changed are the people making the parts and the people supervising the people making
                                                       the parts .... anything else I can help you with .

What I like is when management asks you to adjust a machine to a manual operation.  I have been asked several times to adjust the part so they will stop scrapping them at polish... :wallbash:
