But in reality it just ain't happening. 

As the population continues to grow, and urban sprawl continues to encroach further into wild game habitat, the demand will be for MORE farm animals, not less.

Yes, we CAN change it, but WILL we?
In almost all human endeavors, majority wins, and at the moment, vegans aren't even close to being the majority.

So you can keep fighting the good fight, which I admire you for doing, and I will keep eating as I choose to eat, which is mostly beef, chicken, pork, and venison.

I agree it isn't going to happen. It is an uphill battle on many fronts. There are trillions of dollars in animal products. Likewise savory fat rich foods are addicting.

As I have said, I could post just as many links with numbers I like. It almost seems like you would rather argue about that so we don't have to actually discuss what I said. That is the fact that we can grow drastically less crops under more sustainable conditions if we didn't need to feed animals for slaughter. The calories in/out equation is like 4x-16x. We use tons of calories of crops, energy, water, and land to produce meat and animal products that wouldn't be needed if we just didn't eat them.
