I don't know
My dealer, Cad Cam Consulting has got SoCal, all the way south to the Mexican border
San Diego used to have it's own dealer, but CCC acquired them 4 or 5 years ago.
I don't now where the boundary is for NoCal, or even who the Mastercam dealer is up north.
If the assimilation continues at it's current pace, there will be only one dealer,
the mother ship in Tolland.

Sandvik announces the acquisition of Barefoot CNC, CAD/CAM Solutions, and CamTech Engineering Services,

QuoteTolland CT – Sandvik announces the acquisition of Barefoot CNC, CAD/CAM Solutions, and CamTech Engineering Services, marking significant milestones in Mastercam's mission to shape the future of manufacturing. Additionally, Sandvik has acquired CIMCO probing technology and post processor business, a software add-on for CAD/CAM programs that enables CNC touch probes to measure and locate workpieces before machining, improving part quality and reducing set up time.

Barefoot CNC has served North Carolina and South Carolina for over 30 years, CAD/CAM Solutions has been a trusted partner in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, and CamTech Engineering Services has delivered best-in-class solutions in Florida. Integrating these partners strengthens Mastercam's regional support and enhances our commitment to providing exceptional CAD/CAM solutions.

"Welcoming the resources of Barefoot CNC, CAD/CAM Solutions, and CamTech Engineering Services into the Mastercam team strengthens our commitment to supporting manufacturers across the Southeastern United States with exceptional support and industry-leading CAD/CAM solutions," said Russ Bukowski, Interim President, Mastercam. "These acquisitions allow us to build even stronger relationships with our customers in this region, ensuring their success in a dynamic manufacturing landscape."

Mastercam's growth strategy combines organic advancements with targeted acquisitions to expand capabilities and provide industry-leading solutions. As part of the Sandvik portfolio, Mastercam continues to empower manufacturers globally with advanced solutions, connected processes, and unparalleled support.

Sandvik's additional acquisition of CIMCO's probing technology and post processor business, will enhance Mastercam's suite of manufacturing tools, offering a seamless and integrated experience for customers. The tool that has already been used by machinists as a software add-on with Mastercam programs, will immediately be rebranded as Mastercam Probing. "Integrating the CIMCO probing technology and post processor business into our offerings and rebranding it as Mastercam Probing enhances the seamless experience we provide our customers," said Bukowski. "This evolution ensures manufacturers have access to the most advanced, fully integrated solutions, empowering them to maintain a competitive edge."

30 years ago, when I started Barefoot, I had no idea where the adventure would take me. I was just wanting to dig deeper into the puzzle of Cad/Cam. Unravel the riddle of how it worked and could be used to improve manufacturing processes. Basically, a nerd (intellectual badass) with a complex puzzle to solve. The focus of Barefoot has always been to help people chase their American dream by giving them the tools and training to be successful. It's very humbling to look back now and see how customers have grown with us. Miss Katie and I are humbled by the friends we have made over the years and the support you have given us. Thank you for the awesome adventure.

...but wait, the ride is not over. Just continuing the journey in a bigger, better ride.

Team Barefoot will now officially be part of the Mastercam Team. Our Barefoot family has always been part of the Mastercam team. This combining of forces will deepen the level of commitment that Mastercam has always had to the customers, students and educators. Team Barefoot (the guys) are all moving forward and will continue to be there for you. This merger is going to provide even better service and support to the manufacturing and educational community. The biggest difference initially is that instead of hearing "Barefoot, this is Jason" you will now hear "Mastercam, this is Jason." Team Barefoot is excited about this and you should be too.

What This Means for You

Starting on March 3, 2025, Mastercam will manage all customer support, and communications directly. This will ensure a seamless experience and closer collaboration. Your current account manager will remain the same, and any training inquiries should be directed to them. Additionally, at this time the contact information for Mastercam support and post support will remain unchanged.
