The man was here for how long and given protected status.  Married to a citizen and has a child born in the US.

They arrested him for no reason. They kept him for no reason. They were going to keep him even after it was proven that he was a citizen.

It was a mistake mostly caused by communication barrier. It's not worth the crusade you want to go on but I'm sure you will continue. He wasn't harmed and if could have spoken English it probably wouldn't have been prolonged.
