Does he have a makeup person or does he do it himself? From personal experience I can tell you that having someone help with mascara is nice at first, but eventually you get the hang of it.

So they don't look all shiny and slimy. Nixon and Kennedy had a televised debate. Kennedy wore makeup. Nixon didn't. Kennedy won and Nixon blamed, at least partially, the makeup. Plus, he had just spent two weeks in the hospital so he looked all sweaty and shaky.

I know a pastor who used to broadcast live every Sunday. He would spray deoderant on his forehead so it wouldn't look all sweaty and shiny under the lights.

I was a little young to remember that but I'd heard about it.

Many people say Nixon "won" the debate, but lost the election, and that might have been one of the deciding factors. Nixon was not a pretty man at the best of times!

It brings to mind the movie "Monster" starring Charlize Theron. They took one of the most beautiful women in the world and made her look ugly. I'll bet that was a challenge for the makeup artist.

Maybe not "make Nixon pretty" level challenge, but still.
