I don't know how much of this has been verified yet but ouch.

The Signal Clone the Trump Admin Uses Was Hacked

https://archive.ph/ijz5N

QuoteA hacker has breached and stolen customer data from TeleMessage, an obscure Israeli company that sells modified versions of Signal and other messaging apps to the U.S. government to archive messages, 404 Media has learned. The data stolen by the hacker contains the contents of some direct messages and group chats sent using its Signal clone, as well as modified versions of WhatsApp, Telegram, and WeChat. TeleMessage was recently the center of a wave of media coverage after Mike Waltz accidentally revealed he used the tool in a cabinet meeting with President Trump.

Trump is stealing all of the Fox news hosts.

Yes.. RHINO senators killed Trump's nominee, so he made an interim appointment instead.
I'll bet those senators are having regrets now.

I'm not sure how fed employees could have helped? I'm sure we'll hear more about this at some point. I think that they banned the use of the app now.

"Smarsh, the company that owns TeleMessage, told TechCrunch in a statement that it suspended TeleMessage's services, and is investigating "a potential security incident.""

give the hackers access to valid usernames and passwords
silently add unauthorized accounts to secure groups

That would make sense if the hackers access was limited to government officials data, but that wasn't the case. The implication is that there was a vulnerability and apparently was an easy hack.

If it were a fed employee giving out account information, I'd hate to be that employee and get caught. You'd be screwed.

QuoteConcerns over the security of Waltz's communications were further heightened, when it was reported on Sunday that a hacker had broken into TeleMessage's backend infrastructure and intercepted some of its users' messages.
Tech news site 404 Media said the hacker provided them with stolen material, some of which the news site was able to independently verify.

This kinda sucks for signal. It's known to be one of the better end to end encryption chat apps. I think that snowden recommended it at some point?  This gives them a bit of a black eye even though it wasn't their fault. AFAIK their app is still rock solid.

I don't think the app was actually  hacked.
I think unauthorized users gained access to Presidential and Vice Presidential chat groups and leaked details to the press.

Don't forget, 99% of Federal employees are Democrats and a large percentage have told pollsters they
would actively resist carrying out orders they did not agree with.

During the Trump's first administration Federal agencies were giving classes on how to slow walk orders and directives
without falling afoul of the law.

Nothing has changed for this administration. The leadership may have changed but rank and file Federal employees
are still actively sabotaging Trump's directives.

Most of the Federal employees that have been terminated are new hires and probationary employees.
The old guard is still firmly entrenched and doing it's best to undermine Trump 2.0.

The only thing that has really changed is that Trump and his crew now understand just how corrupt the Federal workforce really is.

Hacked or not, using a chat app for secure .gov business is no different than some dumb bitch using a private e-mail server.

If I'm understanding this right, the app itself wasn't hacked. The modified version of Signal allows chats to be stored on a server to meet government regulation (electronic communications must be stored). Once again, if I'm understanding this right, the hacker gained access to the saved conversations.
