A few years ago I bought 2 AR-15s, one for myself to shoot and one for my middle son(15-16 years old at the time) to shoot.  It was something we would do together, and the only times he shot that AR-15 was when I was with him.

Being raised in both I have seen the diff.

when you break your ass on a hay trailer following a Baler. after school.

or you get home and hit the video game . There is a difference.

when you are sitting there thinking what you can do and Nothing comes to mind (But Trouble)

or you spend your night at a school football game and then Maybe Pizza. There is a Difference.

When I was in junior high and high school, forced bussing was being implemented. There were lots of fights; tear gas and blood in the hallways. To my knowledge, there were no guns or knives. The most dangerous weapons I saw were belts with those big 70s style buckles which, btw, were pretty formidable by themselves.

I hate to think what kind of bloodshed we would have seen just 20 years later.

We had Chains and switchblades.

You are aware that despite the so called "assault weapons" ban that those rifles were ALL still sold?

Generally all the had to do was remove the bayonet lug & the pistol grip and they were still perfectly legal.

That ban did zilch except make people that had no real clue feel better that they had done something. Like all liberal ideals, it's never the result, it is only the intention.

Of course you are not aware of that or you would never had made that statement.
