We're about to start doing that ourselves. We know someone who want's to split a side of beef. We haven't looked in to it yet. I don't know that we'll save a lot of money, but we know that the meat is going to be better than store bought so it's worth a shot to at least try it.

If the cow is only grass fed, be prepared for a change in taste. If it's a corn finished cow, it'll taste more like your probably used to.
